Most basic straighteners only show a heat indicator light — you never know the exact temperature. The V-507's digital display shows the precise degree so you can dial in exactly 180°C for fine hair or 230°C for thick hair without guessing. What is the benefit of a 100°C–250°C range?
The V-507's range is broader than most consumer straighteners (which typically start at 150°C). The lower end (100°C–140°C) is useful for very fine, fragile, or heavily colour-treated hair that needs gentle heat. The upper end (230°C–250°C) provides professional-level power for thick, coarse, or tightly curled Pakistani hair types that standard straighteners can't fully tame.
What temperature is best for a keratin treatment?
Keratin treatments require sustained heat of 210°C–230°C to properly seal the keratin protein into the hair shaft. The V-507 reaches up to 250°C, making it capable of supporting keratin and rebonding treatments at home. Use the digital display to set your exact temperature and maintain it consistently throughout the treatment for best results.
How do I prevent the cord from tangling?
The V-507's 360° swivel cord rotates freely at the point where it meets the handle. This means you can turn the straightener in any direction — wrapping it around hair for waves, pulling through at angles — without the cord twisting or kinking. Never wrap the cord tightly around the hot plates when storing, always allow to cool first and store loosely.
Can I use the V-507 to create curls or waves?
Yes. The 25mm plates give you enough width to wrap hair sections around for loose waves or curls. For soft waves: twist the straightener as you pull it through each section. For tighter curls: wrap the section more tightly around the plate and hold for 5–10 seconds before releasing. Practice with lower temperatures first until you're comfortable with the technique.
