The 23mm slim plate is ideal for short or medium-length hair, bangs, and anyone who wants precise control close to the roots or around the face. Slimmer plates allow you to get into areas that wider plates can't — like straightening the hairline, defining a fringe, or creating tight curls and flips. For long or very thick hair, a wider plate like the V-512 (2.5cm) or V-520 (42mm) would be faster.
What does the 300°F–450°F temperature range convert to in Celsius?
300°F = approximately 148°C and 450°F = approximately 232°C. For Pakistani hair types: use 300°F–350°F (148°C–177°C) for fine or colour-treated hair, 350°F–400°F (177°C–204°C) for normal hair, and 400°F–450°F (204°C–232°C) for thick or coarse hair. Always apply a heat protectant before styling.
Why does the V-522 take 60 seconds vs 30 seconds for the V-511/V-512?
Heat-up time depends on the specific heating element and wattage. How do I maintain the ceramic coating on the V-522?
After the plates have fully cooled, wipe them with a soft damp cloth to remove hairspray, serum, or product residue that can build up over time. Never use abrasive sponges or chemical cleaners on the ceramic. Keeping the plates clean prevents residue from burning onto the surface, which would cause dragging and uneven heat transfer during styling.
